| PAPERMAKING (Grades K-12) Papermaking is an ancient art which has recently made a comeback. Participants will gain an understanding of the origins of paper by making their own. Paper will be recycled hands-on into a "Pioneer" version, to gain understanding of how the process of papermaking has developed. |
| BEYOND ROPES AND KNOTS (Grades 5-12) Early settlers and Indian tribes such as the Seminoles combined ropes and knots with wood to build simple items for everyday use. Participants will use this techniques called "lashing" to construct a simple project. Basic Ropes and Knots is a pre-requisite for taking this class. Both can be done consecutively. |
