| MANGROVE ADVENTURE (Grades 5-12) Several nearby areas provide participants with the perfect opportunity to explore these unique and magical wetlands, searching out the diverse animal life and vegetation which supports these communities in order to gain an understanding of their immense value to our environment. 2 activity periods (3 hours) Grades 5-12 only, 1 adult per 5-6 students |
| REEF ROAMING (Grades 7-12) Nearby ocean reefs provide the perfect snorkeling adventure for participants who want to explore and identify the many diverse sea life which live in and roam these unchanging areas, while also discovering some necessary components the reef provides to this variety of sea life. 2 activity periods (3 hours) Grades 7-12 only, 1 adult per 5-6 students |
| SEASIDE ADVENTURE (Grades 7-12) Coastal habitats provide homes for many seaside creatures and promote the growth of some of the most beautiful vegetation. Participants will examine shore materials and vegetation , locate naturally created zones, observe creatures moving and investigate the tracks they leave, get a close up look at tiny seashore creatures they find and become familiar with the concept of sand traveling. 2 activity periods (3 hours) Grades 7-12 only, 1 adult per 5-6 students |
| SHELLS (Grades K-12)
Seashores provide the perfect home for a vast array of shells,. This class will give participants the opportunity to dig up and study shells to determine the creatures which once called them "home," while learning to recognize certain identifying marks and shapes of shells to enable them to classify and group accordingly. Younger ages will have the opportunity to find shells on the property and along the freshwater areas, allowing them to follow the same curriculum. 2 activity periods (3 hours) Grades 5-12 1 activity period (1 1/2 hours) Grades K-4 |
